GCS Malta is looking for a General Manager to work with a holding company within the hospitality, tourism, and development industry.
Your Responsibilities
- Overseeing daily hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
- Ensuring exceptional guest experiences and addressing feedback.
- Training and supervising department heads for operational efficiency.
- Developing sales strategies to boost occupancy and revenue.
- Building relationships with clients, travel agencies, and OTAs.
- Leading digital marketing and promotional campaigns.
- Monitoring financial performance, preparing budgets, and implementing cost controls.
- Optimizing pricing strategies with revenue management.
- Recruiting, training, and mentoring staff while maintaining a positive work culture.
- Conducting performance reviews and ensuring legal compliance.
- Maintaining facility standards and liaising with guests.
- Handling escalated guest issues with professionalism.
Required Skills
Have a solid background in hospitality management with a proven success in sales and marketing. This role calls for a proactive leader capable of driving guest satisfaction, enhancing profitability, and strategically expanding the hotel’s market presence. Strong leadership, interpersonal and problem-solving skills are essential.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must have at least 5 years of proven experience as a General Manager or Hotel Manager, preferably in apartment or extended-stay properties. A Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
