Senior Accountant

GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Accountant to work with leading contracting company in Malta. The Senior Accountant will be reporting directly to the Financial Controller.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing the accounts department to ensure accurate financial data recording
• Developing and documenting accounting processes to implement strong internal controls
• Preparing monthly management accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and highlighting variances
• Monitoring, managing, and forecasting cash flow
• Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Analyzing financial data to assess company performance
• Assisting with yearly budget preparation and forecasting
• Collaborating with IT departments to improve financial automation and reporting
• Supporting Group Management as needed
• Maintaining relations with external auditors and preparing for audits in a timely manner

Required Skills

Proficiency in using Microsoft office applications is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should hold an Accounting Degree, ACCA, or a university qualification, as this will be considered an asset. This role requires expertise in SFM and SAP, along with excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills, as well as a keen attention to detail.
