GCS Malta is looking for a Mobile Core Networks Engineer to join one of Malta’s leading service providers.

Your Responsibilities

• Researching and implementing technical solutions to improve network performance
• Diagnosing and resolving network issues to maintain reliability
• Deploying new equipment and maintaining existing systems
• Monitoring network performance and analyzing data for improvements
• Documenting procedures and delivering technical training to the team
• Leading network projects from planning to execution

Required Skills

Candidates should have a solid understanding of mobile data core networks, IP networking, and mobile protocols such as GTP, SS7, and Diameter. Experience with protocol tracing and analysis is essential, along with familiarity in working with Linux environments and scripting for automation purposes. Strong teamwork abilities and a results-oriented mindset are essential, along with fluency in spoken English.

Qualifications and Experience

Ideally, candidates should hold a Degree or Diploma in ICT, IT Networking, or a related field. Experience in a similar role, particularly with Ericsson mobile data core equipment and Cisco IP Networking, will be considered an asset.
