GCS Malta is seeking a Technical Designer - Fire Doors to work with a leading security company in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

• Developing detailed designs for fire compartmentation systems, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Designing fire doors, fire stopping, and other passive protection systems based on project needs.
• Collaborating with project teams to integrate designs smoothly into plans.
• Conducting site surveys to assess fire protection installations.
• Identifying and resolving design issues to maintain quality and timelines.
• Ensuring design adherence to industry regulations and company standards.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and design revisions.
• Providing progress reports to management and stakeholders.
• Mentoring junior team members on fire protection design best practices.
• Leading training sessions on new fire protection technologies and standards.

Required Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD and relevant design software is essential, along with a strong ability to learn and adapt to new digital tools and technologies. Demonstrating a solid grasp of industry standards and fire safety regulations is essential.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must hold a Degree in Engineering or a related field, whilst previous experience in designing fire doors and passive fire protection systems is considered an asset.
