Chef De Partie

GCS Malta is seeking a Chef De Partie to work with one of Malta's leading restaurants.

Your Responsibilities

  • Overseeing a designated kitchen section such as pastry, butchery, fish, sauces, or vegetables.
  • Ensuring all menu items are prepared according to recipes, maintaining consistency in preparation and presentation.
  • Managing orders, M.E.P. (Mise en Place), stock rotation, and portion controls.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils.
  • Assisting in training and developing Demi Chefs De Partie and Commis Chefs as needed.

Required Skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills, along with a positive attitude, are essential. Additionally, the ability to maintain consistent food quality is required. Fluent communication skills in English are essential, while proficiency in Maltese and/or Italian is advantageous.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must have previous experience and training in an a la carte restaurant of a 5* Hotel is considered an asset along with at least 1-2 years in a similar role.
