Automation Technician

GCS Malta is looking for an Automation Technician to work with one of Malta's leading printing companies.

Your Responsibilities

• Acting as technical expert for fault
• finding in machine sequential logic
• Managing machine/process/infrastructure projects from design to commissioning
• Conducting technical training for Maintenance/Operations teams
• Providing handover and written reports/presentations
• Developing technical documentation for projects and installations
• Coordinating with OEM and suppliers
• Leading Acceptance Tests at OEM and manufacturing sites
• Implementing Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement principles
• Monitoring and reporting major breakdowns and progress
• Ensuring compliance with company guidelines, policies, and values

Required Skills

Ideally, possess a proven track record in electronics troubleshooting and expertise in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) like Siemens, Mitsubishi, and/or Allen Bradley. Proficiency In office applications such as Microsoft office suit is a must.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should possess an Electronic Engineering Certification from an accredited institution, coupled with demonstrated experience in a production or manufacturing setting and working with an engineering team.
