GCS Malta is seeking a Bookkeeper to join a multinational professional services provider in their offices in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

  • Bank, loan accounts and ledger balances reconciliation
  • Calculating company expenses
  • Assisting with the compilation of management accounts
  • Preparing loan interest calculations
  • Preparing trust and company accounts
  • Preparing the associated working papers
  • Assisting with auditors’ queries
  • Undertaking the annual review process of entities for which accounts have been prepared
  • Liaising with other departments
  • Any other ad hoc duties as requested

Required Skills

A solid understanding of the preparation of financial statements is a must for this role as well as excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and within a team as well as with minimal supervision is also a must for this role. The ideal individual must be able to meet tight deadlines and eager to grow and develop professionally.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must have a minimum of an advanced level of education in accounting subjects and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in bookkeeping and/or accounting.
