GCS Malta is looking for an Operations Manager to work with one of Malta's leading international companies. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Deputy General Manager.
Your Responsibilities
- Managing work force planning and labour allocation
- Working closely with the Sales Manager in performance of service offerings
- Analyzing, reviewing, and resolving operational and facility problems to limit associated costs and preventing operational delays
- Building operational plans and managing staffing needs
- Assisting the sales force in preparation of estimates and procedures
- Developing plan of works, and risk assessments in relation to projects and ensuring that these are endorsed by the competent authorities
- Reviewing analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data
- Managing the operational availability rate of associated vehicles and equipment
- Managing customer and technical service ensuring that service is provided accurately and on a timely and cost effective basis
- Monitoring and reviewing regulations and trends
- Developing and maintaining training programs for each technician
- Ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
Required Skills
One must be proactive and have excellent communication skills and leadership skills. Fluency in the English language is considered a must, and knowledge in any additional languages is considered an asset.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must have a Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Environmental Science, waste management and/or Health & Safety with previous experience in a technical field and an operational role. Knowledge of OHSA guidelines will be considered an asset.
