Supply Chain Manager

GCS Malta is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to work with a manufacturing company in Malta. The chosen candidate will be reporting to the Head of Business Development and Supply chain.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading, directing and managing subordinates
  • Identifying vacancies and participating in selection and recruitment interviews
  • Training and coaching staff
  • Ensuring staff strictly adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental procedures
  • Setting targets and working objectives for Warehouse Leader
  • Giving regular performance feedback
  • Purchasing key materials and services following specific indications
  • Coordinating shipments by organizing delivery routes, properly loading freight, and determining the placement of resources in the most efficient delivery of goods
  • Monitoring shipments, ensuring they reach their destination at the appropriate times
  • Maintaining logistics functional costs through negotiation costs
  • Responsible for the scheduling, staffing, work planning and equipment
  • Ensuring timely and accurate update in the ERP system of inventory levels
  • Overseeing the warehouse operations

Required Skills

Experience with initiating and setting the supply chain strategy is required. One must have excellent leadership skills, communication skills and can work in a team and in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate must have a Degree in logistics, supply chain development and/or business administration. A pharmaceutical background will be considered as an asset.
