Client Accounting Team Leader

GCS Malta is looking for a Client Accounting Team Leader to work with a leading CSP company in Malta.

Your Responsibilities

• Managing and mentoring junior members within the team, and liaising with management and other senior colleagues
• Being a point of reference within the team and assisting in solving high technical accounting queries
• Completing the management accounts of their own portfolio of clients
• Preparing and submitting of VAT returns of their own portfolio of clients, and reviewing of VAT returns of other team members
• Reviewing of financial statements
• Assisting management with ensuring that all the team members meet all statutory deadlines (for VAT Returns, Accounts, Tax Returns, etc)
• Being involved in the ongoing monitoring undertaken by the accountancy department for compliance purposes
• Liaising with internal departments to obtain information and supporting documentation to allow for the timely preparation of financial statements and statutory returns
• Any other duties which the Team Leader may be asked to perform

Required Skills

Very good command of English, both written and spoken is a must. One must be able to work both independently and, in a team, and have problem solving skills and organizational skills.

Qualifications and Experience

The chosen candidate must be fully qualified with a recognized accountancy qualification and can use Microsoft Office programs like Excel, Outlook, and Work as well as SAGE.
