Software Development Manager

GCS Malta is seeking a Software Development Manager to work with one of Malta's leading service providers.

Your Responsibilities

• Directing, leading, and inspiring a team of architects and developers while promoting a creative work atmosphere
• Leading the team in developing and maintaining microservices and event driven architectures
• Driving an Agile work culture, ensuring the team adheres to Agile practices for efficient project delivery
• Taking ownership of projects timelines, ensuring on time delivery and meeting quality and security standards
• Collaborating with senior leadership to contribute to the software development strategy

Required Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must with the ability to develop team members. One must have strong knowledge of Java, Spring, Angular, and be familiar with databases such as MySQL, SQLServer and BigQuery. Experience with Kubernetes, Jenkins, Redis, and RabbitMQ is also required.

Qualifications and Experience

The chosen candidate must have proven experience in leading and managing software development teams delivering high traffic and critical applications. Proficiency in Agile methodologies is a must.
