GCS Malta is looking for a Senior Remediation Associate to work with a local public agency.
- Assisting the Manager in the management and leadership of the Team Assisting the Manager in the establishment and updating of internal policies and procedures Conducting timely reviews of compliance examination results Attending Committee meetings and documenting the outcomes of the discussions Writing letters of closure to the people who were involved in the investigation. Assisting with Committee meeting planning and management Advising and supporting subject persons in the establishment of appropriate internal AML and CFT structures and controls. Attending training sessions for subject people or other supervisory staff. Working with the Risk Team to provide input on the results of compliance examinations. Coordinating, liaising, and cooperating with a variety of Competent Authorities Assisting with other tasks linked to various local and international bodies' reviews and assessments Performing any other job
- related responsibilities that may be assigned
Sound knowledge and practical understanding of the laws that govern the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Malta and the applicable international standards and EU legislation. Fluency in both Maltese and English languages are essential.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate must have a University Degree or equivalent, preferably in Banking and Finance, Financial services, accounting, insurance, economics, or any other subject provided proven working experience of a minimum of 2 years in a financial service environment.
